Looking for Adventures? You've come to the right place as we offer the Platinum Adventures® to customers who are at least 50 years old, maintain at least $5,000 in deposits and have an active checking account¹.

The Platinum Adventures® is perfect for you if you like museums, theaters, out-of-town excursions, etc.  We do the planning, you choose which events you want to go on.  There is no annual fee and you only pay for events you wish to participate in.  Some of our events are FREE too!

Wednesday, September 17 - Rockford Rendezvous

Cost:  $93 per person
Time:  8:00 a.m.  Please arrive by 7:45 a.m.
Location:  Lake Forest Departure

Due west of Chicago is the third largest city in Illinois, Rockford.  Founded in 1834 by immigrant settlers, it is home to a myriad of unique attractions, the rolling Rock River and world renowned gardens.  We will learn the history of this town on the Rock River, visit the Anderson Japanese Garden, enjoy lunch at the Cliffbreakers River Restaurant and visit the restored Coronado Theatre.  Trip includes deluxe bus transportation, the tours and lunch.

Tuesday, September 23 - The Sanfilippo "Victorian Palace"

Cost:  $75 per person
Time:  9:15 a.m.  Please arrive by 9:00 a.m.
Location:  Lake Forest Departure

This Victorian Palace is home of the Jasper Sanfilippo collection of beautifully restored antique music machines, phonographs, arcade and gambling machines, chandeliers and art glass plus much, much more.  It also is the home of the world's largest, restored five manual, Mighty Wurlitzer Theatre Pipe Organ.  The 44,000 sq. ft. Jasper estate is hidden away on 57 picturesque acres in Barrington Hills.  After the tour we will lunch at The Barn of Barrington.  Choose from chicken provencal or white fish.  Please call for reservations.

Alaska Discovery Land Cruise - Summer of 2009
Thirteen days including a seven night cruise aboard Holland America's Volendam or Zaandam.  More details will be available soon.

May 2010 - Alpine Explorer with the Glacier Express and Oberammergau Passion Play
This trip is available only every ten years.  You will be visiting Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Germany and witnessing a performance of the Passion Play in Oberammergau.  The cost of the trip for double occupancy is $5,999 per person.  Reservations must be made by August 15, 2008 with an $850 deposit.  A second deposit of $1000 is due one year prior to departure and final payment is due in January of 2010.

Reservations may be made by phone to Cathie Biggam at 847-853-3590 or by email to platinum@lakeforestbank.com.  For your reservation to be confirmed, payment must be in my office within seven days after the reservations are made:  Cathie Biggam, 727 N Bank Lane, Lake Forest, IL 60045.  Please make checks payable to Platinum Adventures (sorry no credit cards).  Please remember to make your menu selections when you reserve your tour.  Cancellations are for emergencies only.
